So I have a dilemma. I really wanna pick up cassie, but have to work all night :( and won't have much time to play after I'm off either. So I was wondering if some of the great souls of TYM could help me out. Basically, I was wondering if someone could quickly post her overhead combo that ends in the vortex, the low starter that ends in the vortex, a punish combo, a corner combo, and a max damage combo. Nothing too major, (unless you feel inclined :]) but just something I can write down while...

I'm a little pissed that she has only 2 stock, and none forecasted in the foreseeable future, meanwhile, the other ladies (The sisters) have an entire wardrobe.
The Cage girls got screwed when it comes to accessories-
Sonya has 2 that look the same (tournament, general)
Cassie has 1 business and 1 play..

FFS- show our girl some love.. pls NRS... Plsssssss!

A start would be an outfit close to one of Jacqui's alt's- I'm down with the tank top, fatigue pants and boots..

Possible crucial tech for nutkracker advantage?

To explain more in depth, while practicing with Cassie. I noticed that certain combos can leave you at a higher or lower advantage on the nutpunch. For instance. The basic example is AA with nut punch. Gives you major advantage. However, some combos that have fast gravity to it (gravity meaning how fast they fall) may make your nut punch have a lesser advantage. So I made a video showing it.

I'm having trouble with fighting against Cassie, her moves are extremely easy to execute, and hard to block, she has two 50/50 strings that is followed by a low or an overhead, even if you see it coming she can force you to block low and do a tech grab. I'm an Erron Black player, even though he has a vortex, everything has to be timed when starting the combo, it's not easy, even Sonic Fox was dropping them occasionally. There needs to be a lower block advantage once you block them because she...

Is it simply just a taunt that gives you a little extra meter?

I'm pretty new to fighting games period, and Cassie is a main that I just gravitated to because of her rushdown capabilities. Recently, I played a friend who spammed Jax's rockets. Been having trouble jumping over them because of how long the rocket is and how shorhithe recovery time is. Blocking doesn't seem to be a viable option because of the massive chip damage. I use Brawler as my main, any suggestions?

Hi guys,

I am:
- a console peasant; I'll be able to lab and indefinitely refer to her combo list once the ps3 console is out. I currently making do with youtube (the FIRST thing I read to help in my limited labbing) and ps4 rental shops (approx US$2/hour; hence the need to refer to youtube to help cutdown lab time)
- currently maining Scorprion (all 3...altho still need help on hellfire) and I'm thinking of Hollywood Cassie as my alternate (well, debating between her and piercing Mileena)...

So as far as I understand her variations are:

Spec-Ops: Zoning setups
Brawler: High damage high risk
Hollywood: Rushdown

Is this correct? What can we add to each variation as an explanation? Which variation of hers is on top right now if any? I'm gravitating towards Hollywood personally.

Last night, watching Pig's stream, I got probably my first really long look at my MK9 co-main's progeny in action. Admittedly, out of everyone since the start of the reveals, and in spite of already being a fan because she's a Cage and she's cute as a button, I knew almost nothing beyond basics of how she played out on the battlefield.

Then last night happened.
And the pistols came out.
And I George W. Bush'ed myself and nearly choked on a pretzel.

How do I perform run cancel combos after DB2 (getaway flip)?

Generally, you will be doing DB2 off of 3 main starters: b12, f3, and d+f1 (first or second hit).
In the case of b12 db2, Cassie will perform the flip at point blank range because of the forward movement of b12.
In the cases of f3 db2, and d+f1 db2, Cassie may perform the flip a little further than point blank from the opponent because those starters do not move as much forward.

Thought that it would be useful to have a thread where people could throw their name in a hat with the system they play on so people could get match up experience with legit Cassie mains.

Matchup's this early in the lifespan is a wild card.. Add the fact of multiple variations - makes it even more wild.
If I could make a suggestion...
Could we start off with what we know about certain opponents- things to watch out for- or more specifically things like:
Blocking low against Kitanna and Johnny is a safe bet because they have no real overhead threat to hurt you badly, or abuse.

Ultimately- dish the dirt on characters you know here- and the best way to punish- AS Cassie.
